80's themed bar crawl. Turn Wildwood into your game board. Solve riddles, walk from stop to stop, and search local establishments for hidden clues that unlock your next destination.
Background
Welcome back to Wildwood.
Not the Wildwood of today.
Think back to the 1980s — neon signs glowing after dark, crowded sidewalks, arcades buzzing, music spilling out of bars, boardwalk lights reflecting off the night, and families carrying Polaroid cameras to capture whatever happened along the way.
Wildwood has always been a place people remember through little moments: a favorite restaurant, a strange sign, a photograph on a wall, a song you heard walking down the street, or some odd detail you never forgot.
This production is built around that feeling.
You will travel on foot from one local establishment to the next, solving riddles and searching for real-world artifacts hidden in plain sight.
You may want to bring a Bluetooth speaker; there will be music.
At each stop, the first riddle leads you to the correct business. Once there, a second riddle points you toward a specific object, photograph, sign, decoration, or other permanent feature inside the establishment. Something on that artifact becomes the key that unlocks your next destination.
Along the way, you may find old photographs, vintage signs, forgotten names, strange objects, and pieces of Wildwood history that thousands of people have walked past without ever really noticing.
Some of the images and music you encounter are designed to feel like something pulled from an old drawer after decades — faded Polaroids, handwritten notes, neon colors, and sounds inspired by the era.
The route is designed to be walkable, with the longest walk between stops taking approximately 15 minutes.
This production was built to be playable year-round. However, Wildwood is a seasonal town, and during the off-season some establishments may be closed on certain weekdays or may operate on reduced hours.
Player Rules
- Never Drink and Drive. This production was intentionally designed as a walking route. If you drink, plan ahead and use a designated driver, rideshare, taxi, or other safe transportation afterward.
- You never need to touch, move, open, lift, or disturb anything. Every clue can be solved simply by looking and observing.
- Stay in public/customer areas only. Never enter kitchens, storage rooms, behind bars, employee-only areas, or anywhere normally off-limits to customers.
- Please respect the businesses. Do not block entrances, interrupt staff while they are working, or interfere with other customers.
- Do not ask employees for the answers. Finding the artifact is part of the game.
- Enter the full name of each solution. Partial answers will not be accepted. For example, if the correct business is Jack's Bar and Grill, entering only Jack's will not work.
- You do not need to purchase anything to solve the puzzles. However, we certainly encourage supporting the local establishments you visit.
- Play at your own pace. There is no reward for rushing. Watch for traffic, use crosswalks, and pay attention to your surroundings.
- Clues may be above, below, beside, or behind you. Look carefully, but never climb on furniture or fixtures to get a better view.
- Please do not spoil the game for others. We would love for you to take pictures, post about your experience, and tag Mystabar, but DO NOT POST THE SOLUTIONS, ARTIFACT KEYS, OR PHOTOS THAT CLEARLY REVEAL THEM. Let the next group have the same fun finding them that you did.
- Mystabar does not make money from this production. We created it because we love Wildwood, puzzles, local businesses, and giving people something fun to do together.
- Businesses are not responsible for the game. Please direct questions or problems with the production to Mystabar rather than the establishment.
- Artifacts and businesses can change. If something appears to have been moved, removed, or is no longer accessible, let us know so we can update the game.
Have fun. Explore Wildwood. Notice the things everyone else walks past.
Safety & Assumption of Risk
Participation in this production is completely voluntary. By participating, you acknowledge that walking through public areas and visiting independent businesses involves ordinary risks, including traffic, weather, uneven sidewalks, stairs, crowds, changing conditions, and other hazards that may be encountered while traveling through Wildwood.
Use common sense and put safety ahead of the game. No clue or answer is worth entering an unsafe area, crossing against traffic, climbing, running, trespassing, touching equipment, or doing anything you would not normally do as a customer or pedestrian.
Players are responsible for determining whether they are physically able to participate and for choosing when, where, and whether to continue playing.
Mystabar does not control, operate, supervise, or guarantee the condition, availability, accessibility, hours, products, services, employees, customers, or premises of any establishment included in this production. Participating establishments are independent businesses and are not responsible for Mystabar or the operation of this game.
Routes, sidewalks, traffic conditions, business hours, artifacts, and other conditions may change without notice. If a clue cannot be reached safely or an establishment is closed, stop and return another time. Never attempt to bypass a closed entrance or restricted area to continue the game.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, participants assume the ordinary risks associated with voluntarily participating in this walking scavenger hunt.
